Welcome to Spondan, the vibrant Bengali community of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Since 2002, Spondan has been dedicated to organizing events and get-togethers throughout the year, with the aim of keeping the rich Bengali Hindu traditions alive.
At Spondan, we take pride in celebrating a variety of Bengali religious events, such as Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, Poila Baishak, Bijoya Dashami, and more. These festivities bring our community together, allowing us to reconnect with our roots and pass down our cultural heritage to the younger generations.
Our events are not limited to religious celebrations alone. We also organize annual get-togethers like the Summer Picnic and Winter Holiday Party, providing opportunities for our members to socialize, network, and forge lifelong friendships. These gatherings create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, fostering a sense of belonging within our closely knit community.
Spondan is not just limited to the Windsor and Essex area in Ontario. We also extend our reach to Bengali families from Chatham, as well as our neighbors across the border in Detroit, Michigan, USA. Our inclusive approach allows us to connect with Bengali families from both sides of the border, creating a diverse and unified community.
As a non-profit organization, Spondan relies on the generous contributions of its members to host these events. The financial support we receive plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of our celebrations and maintaining the cultural fabric of our community.
In addition to organizing events, Spondan is committed to giving back to society. We regularly make donations for community development and charitable causes, aiming to make a positive impact both within our community and beyond.
Whether you are a long-time resident or a newcomer to the Windsor area, Spondan welcomes you with open arms. Join our community and become a part of the vibrant Bengali traditions that thrive in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Together, we can preserve our cultural heritage and create lasting memories for generations to come.
